🏰Ch-9_Understanding Kingdom Concepts_Rediscovering the Kingdom_by Myles Munroe_Narrated by Queen Rakihealya_Get Married Whole Podcast
As I read this final chapter, I was struck by how much of our Christian walk is about unlearning old ideas and replacing them with Kingdom truths. Dr. Munroe explains that the Kingdom of God is not a democracy. It operates on the authority of a King, and that King is God.
Here are three key concepts that stood out to me:
The Concept of Kingship: On page 244, Dr. Munroe writes, 'God is not interested in sharing His rulership with anyone. The King’s word is law, and His sovereignty is absolute.' This reminded me that as much as we might desire control or autonomy, true peace comes from submitting to the reign of our King.
The Concept of Lordship: The idea that Jesus is both our Savior and Lord was eye-opening. Lordship means ownership, and Dr. Munroe explains on page 248, 'When Jesus is Lord, everything we have belongs to Him, and we belong to Him.' It challenges me to ask: Are there areas of my life I’ve yet to surrender to His lordship?
The Concept of Citizenship: Dr. Munroe makes it clear that we are citizens of the Kingdom of God, and with that citizenship comes rights and responsibilities. On page 252, he writes, 'Citizenship in the Kingdom is not automatic; it requires submission to the King and adherence to His laws.' This means we need to be intentional about learning the laws of the Kingdom and living by them, just like we would in any other nation.

🏰Ch-6_The Kingdom of Servant Kings_Rediscovering the Kingdom_by Myles Munroe_Narrated by Queen Rakihealya_Get Married Whole Podcast
Key Passage:"Here is how the kingdom was supposed to work: God the Father and Creator is in heaven, where He has always been. Jesus taught us to pray, ‘Our Father in heaven...’ Heaven is the domain of the Father, a spiritual realm that is invisible yet greater and more real than the visible physical realm that was created from it. God is the King of heaven, the Lord of all, the Creator and the Manufacturer of all things."(Page 178)
Key Points:
Personal Reflection:"One passage that really stood out to me was the teaching that 'royalty never has to shout... The power of a king's voice is not in its volume but in its authority of position.' This is such a powerful reminder that, as children of God, we carry His authority with us wherever we go. We don’t need to raise our voices or strive for power because our authority is rooted in our identity in Christ. The Holy Spirit, our personal tutor, trains us daily in how to live out this royal identity with confidence, humility, and grace."(Pages 189-191)
