Key Passage:"Here is how the kingdom was supposed to work: God the Father and Creator is in heaven, where He has always been. Jesus taught us to pray, ‘Our Father in heaven...’ Heaven is the domain of the Father, a spiritual realm that is invisible yet greater and more real than the visible physical realm that was created from it. God is the King of heaven, the Lord of all, the Creator and the Manufacturer of all things."(Page 178)
God as King: Understanding God as the King of heaven and our Creator helps us grasp the significance of our royal identity in His kingdom.
Royal Training: Just as earthly royalty like Prince William and Prince Harry are trained in the ways of royalty, we too are trained by the Holy Spirit to walk, talk, and act as children of the King.
Authority of Position: "The power of a king's voice is not in its volume, but in its authority of position." This powerful truth reminds us that our authority as believers comes from our position in Christ, not from how loudly we speak.Personal Reflection:"One passage that really stood out to me was the teaching that 'royalty never has to shout... The power of a king's voice is not in its volume but in its authority of position.' This is such a powerful reminder that, as children of God, we carry His authority with us wherever we go. We don’t need to raise our voices or strive for power because our authority is rooted in our identity in Christ. The Holy Spirit, our personal tutor, trains us daily in how to live out this royal identity with confidence, humility, and grace."(Pages 189-191)
Next time, we’ll be diving into Chapter 7, titled 'Kings, Prophets, and Kingdom.' In this chapter, we’ll explore the relationship between kingship and prophecy in the Kingdom of God and how it applies to our lives today. Be sure to tune in and continue this journey with us!
