Today we are talking about two of the most powerful tools in 3to5 Club- Lumberjack's and Effective One2Ones.
The smartest business owners think about who are the people that already have the clients I am looking for? There may be business owners within the same industry as you, but may do business slightly different. That could be the start of great potential referral partners, or what we call, Lumberjacks.
Three things we want you to look at and answer for yourself this year to find your lumberjacks:
1. Who are the people already referring business to you?
2. Who are the top referring people in your database?
3. What would you do strategically to set up a plan on your 2-page strategic plan to deepen that relationship?
That then will put us in to how to build those relationships, and have effective one2ones. Go in with an intention, and serve not sell. Think about this acronym, FORD, when you're having a one2one.
F- Family; ask about their family
O- Occupation; ask how the job is going
R- Recreation; ask what are the things they are interested in
D- Dreams; ask what are their dreams and goals
This will allow you to deepen those relationships and get more from them. These are two staples we talk about frequently in 3to5 Club, and can help you and your business too.
