A Grey’s River mule deer hunt in The Wyoming Range is one of the more physically demanding hunts in Wyoming, but one that can provide a big reward. The Wyoming Game and Fish has conducted big and trophy game check stations just outside of Alpine in Western Wyoming since 1929. One person who has been there for the last 20+ years is Wyoming Game and Fish Biologist Gary Fralick, who has photographed literally 100s of hunter-harvested mule deer taken from the Grey’s River region.
