    Publisher's Summary:
Clichés are overrated, and loving the boy next door may not be as genuine as the love Flynn sacrifices along the way.
Knowing he's gay and acting on it were two separate notions to Flynn Brewer until he'd met Keith, his first boyfriend, in high school. Before then, being gay wasn't as real as the pain of living day-to-day. Flynn's fear of coming out to his religious best friend, Zach, in their conservative community destroyed his relationship with Keith, but Flynn rationalized his avoidance and bottled up the truth until it was regrettably too late.
Zachary Mitchell was the perfect son and role model as far as the outside world could tell. Active in his church while attending college, Zach had a personality that could sell anything, do anything, or be anything. Except, he couldn't sell the truth to himself. Just when he was ready to reveal his internal conflict to Flynn and expose the darkness lurking in his heart, and in his "perfect" family, Zach met a girl and got sucked deeper into his chasm of deception.
Caught in a living Newton's cradle of his own design, Flynn must choose between idealistic childhood fantasy and a tempestuous passion that could ignite the very air he breathes.

    Utter nonsense
I listened to the story to the bitter end. To me is is utter nonsense. In particular the characters of Flynn, Keith and Zac. They were not believable in any way shape or form. Flynn was so wishy washy, and just plain nonsensical. Keith was so over the top jealous and a major control freak. Zac was a shell character to take up space in the story. I can and would never recommend this audio book to anyone who wants a well thought out storyline. Ridiculous plot and shallow characters make this story unreadable. The only really believable part of the book was the overly religious and abusive parents of Zac. I'm sorry but garbage is too good a description for this book. I really wanted to like it but it kept snowballing into a ridiculous plot from the very beginning. It's a difficult listen at best, the main three characters grate on your last nerve very early on in the story and never stop.
Three stories, three points of view
Liked it. Was concerned that it would be the same story from three different points of view, but they run chronologically with very little overlap. Great story.
    Misplaced Opportunity
I am returning this book. I am returning this book and its killing me because I really wanted to like it more than I did.
What is so disappointing to me is that there is a really solid story structure here. The situation is compelling and the characters, when they are not being made to do stupid things in service to the plot, are good guys whom I wanted to spend more time getting to know.
The skeleton of the story was one that would be very appealing to me if the writing has been fully executed. Where to begin? The dialogue between the main characters was often unbelievable. These kids would often riff off a line of dialogue more common for a 30 year old than an 18 year old.
And then there was the obliviousness. One of the most common ways to power the narrative of a romantic story is to have the main characters misunderstand each other or otherwise be confused about what is going on.

Kent McMann loves his life, but has always wanted a family. With no man on the horizon he decides it's time to start with or without a partner. His friend, who loves being pregnant, has generously offered to be his surrogate, so Kent goes full steam ahead and drops off his specimen to get started on his family.
Of course, this is when he meets the perfect guy for him. Dex Lochland is a triathlete who also happens to be a successful app designer, and the two hit it off having much in common. Dex loves how Kent can make him laugh, Kent loves how Dex is everything and more than he ever wanted.
As they quickly begin a relationship both men are finding their perfect counterbalance, and having hot and passionate sex along the way, when Kent learns the pregnancy took and he's going to be a father. When he tells Dex, he finds out Dex has never even thought about kids, let alone wanted them.
So the two agree to out the brakes on what's happening between them and keep their relationship on a more friends-with-benefits level. However, neither can seem to help falling in love with the other.
This caught me at the perfect time when I was looking for something non-complicated and easy to listen to with some super sexy times. I loved Michael Pauley's narration, especially his enthusiasm in the conversation portions and sexy times. I loved the super sweetness of the story, the whole kittens and rainbows angst-free non-drama, and, most of all, the ridiculously hot, smoking sex.
I can totally see this becoming a comfort listen for me.

    Loved It
This is a very short but entertaining story about a girl meeting her tutor KL, when she meets a girl named Kennedy she assumes that it's her tutor. What follows in the second half of the book are the details of the accidental date and the power of serendipity.
    Cute for a short story
I'm not usually one for shorts but this one made me chuckle. It's a romance so there's a bit of predictability but it's cute

A fantastic audio, love the story and performance!
I love the author and his impeccable ability to tell such amazing stories :)
If you are looking for a story with some humor, some sadness and lots of love and kindness then Silent Bob will not disappoint.
And the lovely Hollie Jackson does a superb performance! Love her voice and the life she brings to the characters.
    great story
if you understand that this author's stories are sort of young adult (fade to black on sex) and ridiculously (I mean that in a good way) uplifting, then dig in. I love his narrator and routinely listen to one of his titles when I need an adventure and a boost in my morale. I'm normally never a fade to black kind of reader, but I make an exception for this guy.
    Great story and reading!
I loved Silent Bob and Hollie Jackson was perfect as our Bobby! I caught myself smiling throughout the entire book. It was difficult to turn it off and I couldn't wait to listen some more! I loved the reunion from a lot of the Music of the Soul characters! I'll definitely have to re-listen to the other books.
I'm glad Hollie was able to narrate again, she always does a fantastic job. Hollie makes it easy to get lost in the story and to fall in love with the characters.
Can't wait for the next Schubach book to come to life!
    WOW
I don't think I stopped listening for more than a few minutes once I started!
    loved it!!!
inspiring, uplifting ,full of excitement, one he'll of a book, loved it from start to finish!!!!

    Title: Memento
    Subtitle: A PsyCop Short
    Author: Jordan Castillo Price
    Narrator: Gomez Pugh
    Format: Unabridged
    Length: 36 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 11-23-15
    Publisher: JCP Books LLC
Ratings: 4.5 of 5 out of 144 votes
    Genres: Fiction, Gay & Lesbian
    Publisher's Summary:
Seasons change, and so do fashion trends. But in this heartstring-tugging PsyCop short, what's beneath the clothes matters most.
Do clothes make the man? Jacob Marks cuts an impressive figure in his tailored suits, but Victor Bayne is another story. Nowadays, Vic does his ghosthunting in off-the-rack blazers, polyester blend slacks and cop shoes with nonskid soles. But back before he was a PsyCop - or even officially psychic - he rocked combat boots and a beat up biker jacket, and lots and lots of punk T-shirts. When he finds a faded tee in the back of a drawer, he's eager to lob it in the trash. Jacob, however, finds himself waxing sentimental about Vic's younger, more carefree days.
This steamy 5000-word PsyCop short in Jacob's voice takes place after PsyCop #6, GhosTV.
    Members Reviews:
    Very enjoyable!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this to any fans of the PsyCop series. It's a shorter audiobook, but the story is fantastic and the narration is incredibly well done.
What other book might you compare Memento to and why?
Any of the other PsyCop novels.
What does Gomez Pugh bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
He captures these tiny nuances of Jacob's character. Audio book narrators should have a calm, soothing voice, but not so bland that they put you to sleep. But they should also have character, and Gomez absolutely nails it.
If you could take any character from Memento out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Probably Vic. I feel like we'd get along pretty well.
    Any additional comments?
I will listen to anything read by Gomez Pugh, his narration is really excellent!
    Sexy Addition
    **Audiobook Review**
This was an adorable... and hot short for my two favorite men. I love that we get to see a tiny bit of Jacob and Vic outside of crime and spirits and what their life is like when things are normal.
Plus, it was nice to get to see a bit of things from Jacob's POV for once.
As usual, Gomez did a great job with the narrating too.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Inked Rainbow Reads.
    DON'T BUY IT!
So this short story is great BUT if you plan on buying "PsyCop Briefs, Volume 1" dont buy this copy. It will apear in PsyCop Briefs together with a bunch of other shorts so I really dont recommend getting this one!
    It's only a sexual encounter
Aweful, it's only a sexual encounter, almost no story. Just the art of falacio. No different than any other book in the series, don't waste your memory net buy the full book.
Jacob's view - my favorite short!
I think this is my favorite of all the little side stories. It is an amazingly sweet look at Vic through Jacob's eyes and it just GLOWS with his ardor. He loves Vic so, so much. Fascinating and so touching.
Gomez does such a nice job of showing us Jacobs low key enthusiasm for his man here. It really made me want to cry, I was so touched.
Im really glad that Jordan has said Gomez is going to do the entire Briefs in audio format so we can hear them all!
(I just love the lighting on this cover. It really captures that warm feeling this story evokes. Well done, all around.)

    Publisher's Summary:
When Sheriff Sky Hayden gets word of human remains behind the Indigo Diamond Ranch, he not only has to deal with the possibility of a murderer in their small town, but is haunted by a handsome cowboy - one he can't seem to get out of his mind.
Cole Diamond, his father, and his two brothers work a horse ranch in a dying town in Montana. The downturn in the economy, the businesses leaving, has decimated the remaining town's folk, and the last thing they need for their livelihood is the publicity of a murder.
With everyone under suspicion, Sky has to bear the brunt of the investigation as the state patrol begins to dig deep into the lives of the people who have lived quietly off the radar. And Sky and Cole are forced to face each other, something they had managed to avoid doing for years.
As the pressure builds and accusations are made, Sky and Cole end up together once more, forming a united front against outsiders trying to destroy their small hometown. But soon the men realize the suspicion falls on them, but not for homicide...for something that is perceived as a worse crime.
"Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" was just a silly expression to sell on souvenir T-shirts...until the sheriff figures out "riding a cowboy" may be just what he needs to keep sane. Someone is going to get strung up in that town for crimes they didn't commit. The two men hope like hell it's not going to be them.

Very Good Narration Saves Story (Somewhat)
Would you listen to Save a Horse... again? Why?
Yes, because I enjoyed the two main characters - Skye (sp?) and Cole. Cole was a sweetheart and the narrator defined each of their voices (although it was close sometimes). And I actually found myself really enjoying some scenes - like when Cole had to sit thru a lie detector test - his reactions were priceless.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Yes, the ending was a nice surprise.
Have you listened to any of Nick J. Russos other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, and while he's not a favorite author when he does cowboys he's very good.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me laugh and made me happy. I liked that the two MCs got a chance with each other and their blissful happiness was contagious. Their fear was also very realistically portrayed and made me sad. But there were more times I laughed than not.
    Any additional comments?
This is a story worth reading/listening to. I would listen to it again. It had a good story and the characters were quite fun/interesting. I didn't like Russo's voices for the brothers and father - they were uneven and a little hard to understand (in his effort to make them different).
    Good story
Good story, nice portrayal of gay life in a small town. Though the characters tended to be stereo types and Cole could easily have been female, the story kept rolling along at a good pace. It wonder if another story follows these characters, Cole and Sky in their new lives? Nick Russo's narration gave the story an extra dimension, I will look forward to hearing more from him.

Fun, fanatical and full of humor.
Where does Rise Of A Wizard rank among all the audiobooks youve listened to so far?
Well - it's a short piece - but i was definitely engaged. The narration is lively, with great characterization and strong comic skill. The group of misfit magical friends are sassy and fun. It's kind of a Dungeons and Dragons quest tale with a gay twist. I wish the entire story was available in one long form... but I certainly will look out for the next installment.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I love the super sassy gay fairy who is still bitter because his parents kicked him out for being too fairy of a fairy. He's shameless and snarky and really fun.
    Which scene was your favorite?
The scene where they have rescued a sexy knight and he finally wakes up is really fun... the characters all respond in really cute ways and the giant character made me laugh out loud.
    Any additional comments?
If you like short fantasy and m/m whimsical fiction, you'll enjoy this. It's well written with really endearing characters and the beginning of a quest that lays out a really great foundation for a future story arc.
    Good story, Excellent performance
The only negative thing about this book is it was way too short. Although, I must admit, Mr. Leddy packs a lot into it. It definitely made me want to continue the series. I truly hope the next book comes out in audio with Joel Leslie. He is amazing and really brings these characters to life with his performance.
    Short but hilarious
This was a really funny story that constantly made me laugh! Kinda reminded me of "The Lightning-struck Heart" with the wisard, giant and (instead of a unicorn) glittering fairy. Loved the sassy jokes and even if it was so short the story is a great start of the series. Really hope they deside to continue this someday becoise Joel Leasly was just perfect for the roll and I need more!
enjoyed listening to the book, however too short.
appropriate choice of narrator, left me wanting more. the story sadly ended jest as I was getting into it.

Russian Mob Boss With a Soft Heart?
    Any additional comments?
Tails of the Curious Cookbook is the series name for an anthology of five short stories by five great writers. The writers, R.J. Scott, Amy Lane, Marie Sexton, Amber Kell, and Mary Calmes have written vastly different M/M romance stories with the unifying theme of a curious cookbook entitled Recipes for the Heart subtitled Mystical Meals and Dangerous Desserts hand written by the anonymous Granny B. The stories come in either a Kindle e-book or audible format. The cookbook is depicted as very old, tattered, faded, leather bound, and rich with notations from its users adding clarifying notations and reactions to the varies magical recipes. The recipes when prepared and served is intended to aid in sorting out some confusing romance aspect of the stories or make one feel better after a broken heart. These books will appeal to those with a romantic soul and believe in the magic of comfort food served with a side of the power of suggestion of magic.
I have written five separate reviews for each of the five stories. Please refer to the list below when looking up the appropriate review:
    1. For a Rainy Afternoon by R.J. Scott
    2. Food for Thought by Amy Lane
    3. Lost Along the Way by Marie Sexton
    4. Cookies for Courting by Amber Kell
    5. Just Desserts by Mary Calmes
Cookies for Courting: Tails of the Curious Cookbook by Amber Kell narrated by Michael Stellman. Cold calculating no strings attached businessman Marshall Hunter has the responsibility of a young niece, Alice, thrust upon him following his sisters death. Artist muralist Pace Barlow is retained turn her impersonal penthouse bedroom into a fantasy kingdom fit for 8 year old princess Alice. There is a subplot of greedy grandparents arranging a kidnapping in order to gain control of Alices sizeable trust fund inheritance to bolster their sagging fortune. However, Pace comes to the rescue through a Russian mob acquaintance to regain the child for Marshall. The romance between the two main characters is organized by Marshalls housekeeper, Ilona, and of course Granny Bs recipe for cookies for courting.
This story revolves around the world view of rich folks. The outlier of unselfish true love and creativity is Pace. The subplot of grandparent kidnapping for gain of Alice fits in with the rapacious moneyed class.

The narrator, Joel Leslie, does a wonderful job of bringing the characters of Tony and Ed to life.
This is a sweet and lovely story that is worth listening to and giving as a gift.
    Sweet holiday listen
This sweet novella was a really fun listen. Tony is a law student who is trying to live up to his parent's expectations and is miserable about it. He secretly wants to be a chef. Eddie, is a fellow student who has a wonderful, loving family but can't afford to go home for the holidays. They become friends and end of going to Eddie's family's Festivus celebration, where romance ensues. I don't think I would have liked this as much if I read it, because not a lot happens and it is fairly predictable. However, Joel Leslie does another wonderful job of bringing the characters to life.
    Love this so much!
In this very short and sweet Christmas novella, we meet two law students, Tony and Eddie. Tony is only going to law school to please his parents, hes miserable and lonely in the small Nebraska town. Eddie, is excited to be in law school but misses his folks in California, especially during the holidays, but cant afford to fly or drive out there to be with them.
Eddie and Tony meet on campus and decide to study together for finals. This leads to post-finals celebration (naked celebration) and then on to more.
Eddie helps Tony to realize that its okay to disappoint your parents when it means keeping your soul happy. Tony helps Eddie to achieve his Festivus Miracle.
With a few short pages, Kim gives us a fully developed story about finding out who you are and living your life to its full potential.
There are some sweet smexy scenes, but most of this is about self discovery and finding that place in your soul that makes you sing.
Audio: Joel Leslie does an excellent job with this lovely novella. He does a little with the voices, enough to know who is who and is great with the emotion and the pacing of the story.
I really loved both the story and the audiobook and highly recommend both!

    Short but sweet holiday story.
I listened to this book while in the car - stuck in the middle seat of the back seat of a medium sized car. We were packed "cheek-to-cheek" and this book my mind totally off of my discomfort.
