Darker Side...the S & M of BDSM
As my headline states this book is the S & M of BDSM. There is consentual pain afflection; cutting of skin; and blood lust. There is also a very good preditor plot with mystery, suspense, and murder.
One Cut Deeper focuses more on the actual S & M acts than sex. So if you're looking for a sweet, sexy, BDSM and are faint of heart this book is Not for you. If you like to darker, thrilling, mysterious side then you'll enjoy this book.
I personally love romance books that are dark, thrilling, suspenseful with twists and turns that keep you guessing and approaches subjects like serial killers, human trafficking, bratva, mafia, cartel, etc. This book does not dissappoint and from what I've read the second book: Two Cuts Darker will follow suite.
One Cut Deeper can be a stand alone book, no cliffhanger, but the second book Two Cuts Darker does continue with characters from the first book.
Absolutely worth a Credit!!! I want the second book now....but will have to wait until the end of February.
In the lifestyle- not amused
I didn't get halfway through this book before I asked audible for a return. The woman in this book is naïve, and he is an overruling piece of crap and is VERY pushy about her using safe words. It's like the author was trying to cover their ass from scrutiny like 50 shades had from being "abusive". Coming from someone who lives this kind of lifestyle, is a blood player, this book is garbage, poorly written, and highly over dramatic.
I wish the heroine was a bit stronger
