Overall the book does have some good ideas, but nothing groundbreaking. Its short and repetitive. The narrator is male, the author female...just odd to hear the narrator talk in the author's third person (she, her, etc).

In that it's over in roughly 30 minutes.

It's condensing a highly repetitive, low information book into a more digestible size.

If this had better source material to work with, it would've been better.

This summary saves the reader time of having to unfold the basic premise of personality types!

This summary and analysis of this book was to the point, refreshing as to content and well delivered! This actually saved me time! The Reader's Digest breakdown of this book provides the key points and take always without having to wade through the psychological mysteries of the mind!

Mindset, the book is written with meaning and heart. If this book can motivate you to read Carol Dweck's book at least twice. then it has been beneficial. Mindset is a book to be studied, not just read once. This review of the original is good, but not a replacement for the real book by Carol Dweck in 2006.

Brilliant life teachings in a nutshell

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I've listened to a lot of materials from Mr. Earl Nghtingale and I feel that this audio program sums up the majority of his work. It's "Lead the field" and "Success in America..." in a nutshell.

I'm not usually a big fan of programs which are this short in time span, but love the fact that in little under 3 hours he takes you through his core principles and teachings. You can quickly listen to this during a single day, or during a quick trip and reset yourself and your thinking...it puts you back on track when you feel a bit lost in life and you don't have to listen to hours and hours before you get to the source of things in the world. It's because of this that I feel fully confident to give this program the full 5 stars!

I like it a lot. wise words and lot of motivational speach. I recommend it to all who wants to get motivated

I believe there was good information

good information that the author had. I believe however the voice in this was a bit monotone. Monotone. some of the steps were very old school and some of the steps we're very new. I especially liked the part where you write down what you want to accomplish every morning and every night and every afternoon I thought it would look good if I wrote down exactly what I wanted to look like before I ate therefore it would encourage me not to eat so much.

Narration very rough

The narrator LITERALLY couldn't go 5 minutes without stumbling over words throughout the entire book. It was very distracting. I had hoped for a book to help me snap out of maneuvering through my days on autopilot and this was not that. This book was more about overcoming feelings of self doubt. Some of it was like a broken record. Not terrible but not great.

Not a lot of wisdom here

This book wasnt for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I am not sure who would enjoy it more, that it is strange leading question. I can only write of my experience. I found myself a bit depressed listening to this. I do think it's a good idea to ask the right questions in a way that primes your brain to start looking for the right answer.. But the rest of it is just depressing. I realize after that there is a premise to the book that I ultimately found depressing. I think it reminded me a bit of the cocaine fueled 80's a bit. If you dig deep it's still all surface.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Chapter 11 is good, it helps you form a question that that your brain will accept.

Chapter 11, Baggett is a good narrator.

What character would you cut from The Magic Question?

The salesman Baggett. The end felt like a sales pitch for his seminars etc. I then looked him up on the web which was a mistake, as there's some not so nice things written about him on the web.
