What happens when childhood trauma sets you on a destructive path? Sharon's raw testimony takes us from the devastating impacts of twelve years of sexual abuse to the exploitative world of strip clubs and addiction, ultimately revealing how divine intervention shattered these cycles of pain.

"They groom a girl," Sharon explains, describing how traffickers identify and target the vulnerable. Her story painfully illustrates how childhood abuse creates what she calls an invisible "neon sign" that predators recognize. At just 18, working as a waitress with dreams of becoming a manager, Sharon was strategically recruited into dancing at a club by a regular customer who spent months gaining her trust and learning her vulnerabilities.

The shocking moment when Sharon's own abuser—her biological father—appeared at the club marked a turning point, triggering her to flee. But as she poignantly observes, "You can never outrun your past." Despite relocating and trying to start fresh, the destructive patterns followed her, including substance abuse to numb the pain and fear.

Sharon's transformation began with an audible divine voice asking, "What do you think you're doing?" This encounter led her to church, where she experienced immediate deliverance from drugs and alcohol, though her healing journey was only beginning. Through her mother-in-law's mentorship, Sharon learned that while some deliverance is instantaneous, true recovery is a process: "Process the past so you can deal with the now, so you can live for your future."

Now embracing her purpose, Sharon offers hope to others trapped in similar circumstances. "Keep running until you run into the brick wall that's going to save you," she advises, referring to the people God places in our paths to guide us toward healing.

Have you been running from your past? Is it time to discover your purpose and destiny? Share this episode with someone who needs to hear that no matter how dark their current reality, transformation is possible when you allow Jesus to "love the hell right out of you."
