A man thinks he is losing his mind after a rough illness, he believes he has committed 3 murders. Now The Shadow is involved to solve the crimes.

The Shadow at his best!

What made the experience of listening to Death and the Black Fedora the most enjoyable?

The excitement and pace of the show and the incredible dialogue delivery by the actors.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Death and the Black Fedora?

The appearance of the police near the end and how they got there.

A great little story. I will always love the Shadow stories radio or book form. Crime does not pay.

Sometimes the recordings vary in sound. This begins with whispers in a prison cell which goes to normal volume. Probably a good edition to not use headphones. Two criminals break from prison and have a score to settle with Cranston.

Poor sound quality

This story is about an artist gone mad. Sometimes he talks to himself in whispers, or other characters are supposed to be across the room, but the sound is unintelligible because of the age of the media. This story was a difficult listen because of this problem.

Scaring them and they fall to their deaths. The bridge contractor is in financial trouble and the bridge workers nearly start a revolt. The Shadow solves the mystery and sets things straight.

There are hisses and pops in this recording. The age of the recording is obvious.
