    Title: Suspense, Volume 5
    Author: CBS Radio Network
    Narrator: full cast
    Format: Original Recording
Length: 5 hrs and 54 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 03-09-16
    Publisher: Dreamscape Media, LLC
Genres: Nostalgia Radio, Crime & Mystery
    Publisher's Summary:
Suspense premiered in 1942 and soon became known for its inventive writing and for casting well-known stars in offbeat roles. In 1947, CBS decided to take a gamble: Suspense was turned into a full-hour Saturday night feature, hosted by actor and occasional star Robert Montgomery. Many of the hour-long shows were movie adaptations, and with the permission of the original writers, several earlier programs were expanded to accommodate the increased length. Having failed to attract a sponsor, however, the experiment ended in 1948, and a couple of months later the show moved back to its cozy Thursday night berth in its earlier half-hour form.
Radio's Outstanding Theater of Thrills would continue to be heard for the next 14 years, closing its final curtain in 1962. This second volume of Suspense contains 10 restored radio broadcasts of the original show.

    Publisher's Summary:
Carlton E. Morse is no stranger to radio enthusiasts, with a resume that includes I Love a Mystery and Adventures by Morse. However, it is his long-running radio serial, One Man's Family, that stands out as his greatest creation. From 1932 to 1959, this prestigious drama entertained audiences with a weekly and later daily glimpse into the lives of an authentic American family - the Barbours of Sea Cliff, San Francisco. Morse was inspired to create the series after reading The Forsyte Saga, and as a result the program was designed to be a continuous radio novel, complete with books, chapters, and a focus concentrating more on individual characterizations than on plot. This is the first of a two-volume audiobook collection.

Narrator: Frank Sinatra, Barney Phillips, full cast
    Format: Original Recording
Length: 4 hrs and 53 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 02-10-16
    Publisher: Black Eye Entertainment
Genres: Nostalgia Radio, Crime & Mystery
    Publisher's Summary:
Here are 12 adventure-packed episodes of the radio drama Rocky Fortune. This 1953 radio adventure series stars Frank Sinatra as Rocco Fortunato, aka Rocky Fortune, a footloose and fancy-free young man of several talents. In constant need of employment, Rocky accepts odd jobs from the Gridley Employment Agency - jobs that typically lead him into situations where he tracks down criminals and ends up rescuing people in trouble - especially women. The job done, Rocky ultimately needs to find more work.
In a wink to his own career, Sinatra infused his role with a witty, tongue-in-cheek quality. The one other recurring role was that of Hamilton J. Finger, a not very bright but solid and dependable police sergeant voiced by Barney Phillips.
The show's creator, George Lefferts, was also one of its primary scriptwriters, along with Ernest Kinoy. The final episode of Rocky Fortune aired on March 30, 1954, less than a week after Sinatra won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Private Angelo Maggio in the 1953 film From Here to Eternity.
Episodes included are: "Oyster Shucker at Fifty Fathoms", "Steven in a Rest Home", "The Rodeo Murder Mystery", "The Museum Murder", "The Football Fix", "The Catskills Cover-Up", "One Husband Too Many", "A Sitting Duck for Death", "Honor Among Thieves", "The Twice Murdered Man", "Psychological Murder", and "Rocket Racket".

Length: 5 hrs and 50 mins
    Language: English
    Release date: 02-09-16
    Publisher: Radio Archives, LLC
Genres: Nostalgia Radio, Crime & Mystery
    Publisher's Summary:
Spending nearly his entire seafaring career in the Caribbean, wild tales of adventure swirl around the real-life Morgan from 1655, his first noted appearance in the area, up until his death in 1688. One of the most intriguing mysteries concerning this hard-living, sword-fighting sailor of the seven seas is how he came to be in the Caribbean. One particularly dashing story involves Morgan actually being shanghaied and sent on a boat against his will to become an indentured servant in the Americas.
When Oliver Cromwell, then the Puritan leader of England, sent an army to the island where Morgan was enslaved, Henry escaped his captors and threw in his lot with Cromwell's army in their battle against the Spanish. Regardless of how he started on his life upon the sea, Morgan definitely made a name for himself; he was a true terror of the oceans in the eyes of the Spanish fleets and a raucous hero to his own countrymen. Knighted in 1675, Morgan held several government positions on the island of Jamaica.

    Publisher's Summary:
Beginning with Tarzan, the pulp era was full of jungle heroes. Jungle Jim is one of the unique ones. He was not a barely literate, loincloth-clad tree-dwelling wild man but rather Jim Bradley, a great white hunter in the mold of heroes of earlier popular fiction such as H. Rider Haggard's Allan Quatermain and Lord John Roxton from Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World, who represented the colonial view of the so-called primitive regions of the globe. This gave him a distinctive difference from your run-of-the-mill jungle man, who often knew little about civilization and was equipped with not much more than a knife in most cases. Also, his stomping grounds were located in exotic Southeastern Asia.
