"One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan."—Luke 17:15-16

Baptism brings us together as a family—God's family. Even though we have broken lives, baptism saves us and reunites us with Christ in the closest community one experiences this side of heaven.

In Holy Communion God creates a holy community—through his body and blood. It's a close spiritual union: "Because there is one loaf, we who are many are one body for we all partake of the one loaf."—1 Corinthians 10:17

On this Reformation Sunday we'll look back 490 years, when a little passage from the book of Romans rocked the world.

"This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him."—John 2:11

God remains faithful to his promises, even when we struggle.

Go on a journey to Bokim, where God's people are reminded that they disobeyed their merciful God who calls them to change. "Does this sound familiar?"

Sin destroys the community of God and "the whole world is a prisoner of sin" (Galatians 3:22). But God promises restoration and hope for a new earth—through the Man who would crush Satan's head.

What a great God we have who creates everything out of nothing and establishes a holy community in Eden—the ideal community we're called to model.
