As we record on Sunday night, there is a lot going on. And as Mike says, the new year doesn't start until Tuesday because he doesn't have students until then. 

And Bob posts the show on Wednesday...

We hash out a number of things, including the NFL games of the week, the bowl season that lasts longer than the regular season and some other things as they come to us. Bob did not take notes again.

Some would say that this would be the first show of season 3 for us, but we are calling it the final episode of season 2. Things are going to be crazy for a while in all our lives and so we are going to step away for a few weeks, but we will be back before baseball season starts, which for us is February 26th!

The gang of three get together again this week and talk about a lot, or at least for a long time.

Bob and Mike recap the weekend that was in Tulsa and Adam talks about what it is like to have a daughter turn 8. We all have some laughs during both of these segments.

We turn to the NFL quickly so we can spend time talking about the upcoming bowl season, leaving out the CFP for the most part. There are a few match ups that we are interested in, but mostly it is the length of the bowl season and names of the bowls that we are looking at.

We also take time to bash on MLB since they are in a lockout (after 7 minutes of talks!) and how the owners and their puppet Rob are killing the game.

This week there is football talk, both college and pro, some MLB post season awards and some other things. Since we recorded on Monday and Bob is now posting on Friday, he has forgotten what was discussed. All the more reason to listen or watch!

One thing that was not discussed was umpiring. I am not sure how we took a week off, but this will be corrected in our next episode. 

No Mixology with Mike this week either. It was a rough go as you can see by seeing two of Mike. It is not your drink that is doing that to you.

Welcome to the post season. We recorded on Monday so Adam decided to watch his beloved Bears fall in the last minute of the Monday Night game instead of joining us...I poke. Although he does not join us, Mike and Bob carry on and start out by doing the exact opposite of what our name claims we do. Focus does return towards the end, so if you are brave, stick it out and enjoy the show.

NFL recap happens, which includes a Packers fan giving Chiefs Kingdom the honest breakdown of the Sunday game, along with some MLB Post Season award chat.

Of course we get a little philosophical towards the end, so you can fast forward if you just want to hear the serious stuff.

This week everyone is back and so the conversation runs off track even more than normal!

Of course we talk about the League Championship Series and our joy of the Dodgers being eliminated while making our picks for the World Series. We are posting now so that you could not use our information as a tool to place any wagers and then blame us for being wrong.

We discuss the week that was in the NFL, including the hit on KC's QB (Mike's reaction is classic!) and poke a little bit at the Seattle NHL team. There are other random things, which you knew were going to be there, so make sure you pay attention!

There is no promotion this week, but there is a new crew chief. It appears that Bob runs them off pretty quick!

As you have come to expect when Michael is not a part of the show, Adam and Bob talk hockey and WWE, although they are short conversations this week. Time is of course spent on the MLB playoffs and some NFL talk again just for some change.

Adam is out of commission this week so Mike and Bob get demoted back to a 2-man crew. Even though we blame Adam for the length of our shows, apparently that is not 100% true as you will see.

For the record, Adam is fine as is the family, but any positive energy, prayers and vibes you would be willing to send his way would be appreciated. He will be back soon, and the rule will become relevant again.

Topics this week are a couple of plays in the MLB playoffs, a couple of plays in the Packers game last weekend and the disaster that is coaching in Jacksonville and Las Vegas.
