Get Wright for Sunday

"What have I gotten myself into?" That was the question running through the disciples' heads after they woke him up at sea, only to see him calm the storm they were in. What kind of person does this? Who commands creation with the confidence of God answering Job? Listen to this week's episode to find out!

The Readings for the 3rd Sunday after Pentecost

Old Testament  Ezekiel 17:22–24

Epistle  2 Corinthians 5:1–10 (11–17)

Gospel  St. Mark 4:26–34

What is the unforgivable sin - and can it be forgiven? Pastor Wright and Vicar Leeper talk about how Jesus' family got in the way of his ministry, making excuses for Jesus. In the face of an outrageous accusation, Jesus talks about blaspheming the Holy Spirit - saying that the person who does that will not have forgiveness. What does Jesus mean, and why is that so unforgivable? How can we stop making excuses for Jesus?
