Get Wright for Sunday

What does it mean to be the Church, both throughout history and right now during COVID-19?

Pastor Wright and Vicar Leeper discuss what the Church is, where it is, and how the Church endures around the Word of God.  They suggest practical suggestions for worshipping through live-stream worship and the ways that technology can serve the mission of the Church and of God.

Pastor Wright and Vicar Leeper are once again joined by special guest Mark Esser as they discuss how the Canaanite woman, described in Matthew 15:21-28, holds Jesus to the promises of God.  This Canaanite woman calls out Jesus and "reminds" him of his promises to her, offering a model of what we do today through the Church.  Listen to this episode to learn about one of the very few people ever whose faith Jesus praises, and learn about God's promises in your life from this woman who "gets it".

What does it look like for Jesus to "Meet you where you are"?

Pastor Wright, Vicar Leeper, and special guest Mark Esser dive into Job 38:4-18 and Matthew 14:22-33 to look at what it means for God to come to us. Who are we that God is mindful of us? What does it look like for the creator and master of the universe to interact with us creatures? Come, listen to the account of Jesus walking on water, and what that says about Him coming to us and meeting his people where they are.
