Members Reviews:

Hilarious beyond compare

Andrew Lawrence is a comedy genius. His humour is dark yet thrilling. He eschews the jolly over familiarity of other comedians. His skilled wit as he disembowels the ridiculous social norms that keep society in check. Well worth the money I have enjoyed this immensely.

Funny and left field

Easy comedy suckers you in and subjects you to Andrews witty observations. Very funny and massively enjoyable, highly recommended!

There are apparent appearances from a host of other celebrity favourites too, including Kirsty Wark, Thora Hird and - of course - Brian Perkins. Jon Culshaw, Jan Ravens, Mark Perry, Kevin Connelly and Phil Cornwell give us their impressions of the people we love to laugh at in this quartet of quality episodes. NB: The contents of this release may differ slightly from the episodes as originally broadcast.

Members Reviews:

Very, very funny!

This might not appeal to American readers as the comedy is steeped in British culture but for British readers who are also addicted to Radio 4 the experience is unbeatable. I am especially fond of the wicked Brian Perkins who has committed the most terrible atrocities and Charlotte Greene whose alter ego in Dead Ringers makes her say the most awful things! Highly enjoyable.

Title: Hinterland

Subtitle: A BBC Radio 4 dramatisation

Author: Francis Turnly

Narrator: Catherine Cusack, Frank O'Sullivan

Format: Original Recording

Length: 43 mins

Language: English

Release date: 04-03-12

Publisher: BBC Worldwide Limited

Genres: Radio & TV, Entertainment

Publisher's Summary:

When Garda officer Detective Sergeant Roisin MacKenna is called to the scene of a murder not far from the border between the North and South of Ireland she soon finds that boundaries, both geographical and moral, become blurred. Roisin is thrust into working with a PSNI counterpart, Darren Quinn, as her investigation takes her into the murky hinterland of the border area where nothing and no one is quite what they seem. Working together, Roisin and Darren must negotiate the limitations of their own jurisdictions and face up to the ambiguities of upholding the law in a landscape virtually impossible to police. Starring Catherine Cusack and Frank O'Sullivan.
