  • Game Spotlight: Lords of Waterdeep | Podcast of a Lincoln Geek

This week's Game Spotlight is a cross-continental combination of the quintessential American roleplaying experience Dungeons & Dragons, but in a worker placement Eurogame. It's Lords of Waterdeep, which celebrates the tenth anniversary of its release this year, and has become established as one of the top gateway games in just a decade. And we've got a neat 14 minute summary of everything you can expect from it!

This is Podcast of a Lincoln Geek, the podcast from the crew behind Diary of a Lincoln Geek (DOALG) where we write about all sorts of tabletop and boardgaming goodness. Our podcasts come in three main flavours:

    • Game Spotlights, where one of us picks a game we're passionate about and deep dive into why we like it so much
    • Hot Kickstarters, where we chat about new things we've discovered on Kickstarter, often with one of the design team themselves
    • Gaming Chat, where we talk about a concept or a hot topic in the boardgaming world
    • ...and we'll add in a pinch of special podcasts too, just to spice things up a bit
