In today’s episode we are discussing anything and everything related to friendship, motherhood, race and mental health. You will meet my childhood friend, Amy Mahoney from the Laura Foundation, Inc. and what’s been going on in her life since we graduated from high school back in Massachusetts. Why is this conversation important? Because we led similar lives in school, ultimate overachievers, parents who were teachers, high expectations for our lives and growing up in a town that “didn’t see color.” We rarely talk to across races and cultures about anything that impacts our lives as adults. BLM, Me Too movement, mental health, parenting, and health overall as we age. That’s why I feel it’s so important to have this conversation.
