Tonight's episode is presented in two parts. In the first part, we will be tasting the 2019 Getariako Txakolina. In the second part, we will dive into celebrating International Women Day with our very first guest, Sanai Gooden, the owner of Sleek By Syan. Sanai is the youngest entrepreneur in her family and has done an amazing job at bringing her dream of owning her own jewelry brand to life. You can check out her collection at www.sleekbysyan.com and follow her journey on Instagram @Sleekbysyan.
Getariako Txakolina is one of the most exotic wines that I have had the privilege of sharing with my listeners. It is made from 100% Hondarrabi Zuri, a native grape in the Basque region of Spain. It has a surprising fizziness to it when poured in small portions. The wine is pale yellow in color and is very delicate with zesty lemon and pineapple flavors.
Don't let the description fool you. This is a bone-dry white that would pair well with any seafood dish, and it is low in alcohol with an alc of 11%.
