Rebuilding — A Conversation for Creative Entrepreneurs
An intimate space to speak honestly about the hard parts of building a creative life and what it means to start again.
Rebuilding a business is rarely just a business problem. It touches who you are, what you thought you were building, and whether you still believe in the vision that got you started. This gathering is for creatives who are in that process or who have been through it and want to share that experience in a room with people who truly understand.
What we'll explore:
Singapore is a city of ambition but the pressure to be stable, practical, and on a clear path can make the creative journey feel especially lonely. This gathering is a rare space to speak honestly about what it really takes to build a creative business here: the fear, the pivots, the identity shifts, and the unexpected grace that shows up along the way.
This evening is less a panel and more a sisterhood in conversation; open, unfiltered, and grounded in the real texture of creative life.
Your guest for the evening:
Xuemin Founder of @livlovejewelry
Fine jeweler and maker — crafting wearable art with intention, one piece at a time.
Juan Photographer at @juanmoleyfotologue
Wild-spirited photographer — chasing light, truth, and the stories that live between moments.
Host:
Crystal Y. Creative at @slowlivecreate
Procreate artist stepping out of her introverted self to grow a creative community — together.
Amy Tan — Founder of @Amytfleur and @heartwork.co
Homegrown florist rooted in creating meaningful gifts through the language of flowers.
Venue: Middlegroundprosper Studio
Prosper Industrial Building
22 Lor 21A Geylang,
#06-02, Singapore 388431

This is a ticketed event to:
Come with a friend.
Come curious.
Come as you are.
In this creative life, I get to choose how I show up.
This morning, I woke up with a simple nudge — to film, to share, and to open a window into the journey that brought me here. It all traces back to one small, quiet decision made a decade ago: to walk away from a career and say yes to a God-given dream.
This is my faith story. And I hope that somewhere in it, you catch a glimpse of hope; a reminder that there is a God who never stops pursuing you. In my questions, in my seasons of uncertainty, I kept turning back to Him. Not with all the answers, but with a curious and open heart.
It has taken years to get here. And if I'm honest, it wasn't a clean road. It was an accumulation of right calls and wrong turns, of lessons I chose and lessons I didn't. Life rarely moves in a straight line. Sometimes you fight the current and exhaust yourself trying. Other times, you learn to stop striving to float, to trust, and to let grace carry you further than your own effort ever could.
And I that's how I got this far, living a creative life that I well deserves.

— Next on Gether —
We're going in-person again.
Amy, Juan, and Xuemin. What started as friendship grew into sisterhood — and that journey took each of them further than they ever imagined. Together, they carry more than a decade of experience building, losing, and rebuilding — their brands, their identities, and themselves.
They've lived through the weight of Singapore's expectations. The relentless pace of motherhood. The quiet tensions of family life. And still, they kept going.
What was the drive?
Come hear their stories — up close, in the same room, in real conversation.
— Rebuilding. Coming soon.

Season Two!
We've all been there: lost the drive to keep at it. But losing momentum doesn't make you undisciplined. Sometimes all it takes is a nudge, a spark of creativity to get back on track.
Creative momentum is the flow when we're in the zone. Discipline, on the other hand, is the outer layer of protection — a boundary that keeps our sanity healthy.
There are myths we wana debunk, one of which:"Disciplined creatives wait for inspiration before they start."
The reality is the opposite. Most disciplined creatives show up regardless of how they feel, and treat inspiration as something that arrives during the work, not before it. Waiting for the "right mood" is actually a sign of relying on motivation rather than discipline.
In practice, having a consistent creative habit tends to free you, because you spend less mental energy deciding when to create and more energy on the actual creating.
