This week is 2019s instant classic, Wingspan! I've played a ton of this game since the start of the pandemic, and each time I play it, I learn new birds, try a different strategy, and always ending up learning something about birds along the way. I truly believe there is something about this game that feels like it's for everyone. Wingspan Stan and the Bonemaster guest star! Sadly, Wingspan Stan had irl plans and missed the final ranking, but I think he would approve of its placement.

It's strategy go time! Special Guest John (aka Bott_Bott), who is the creator of Brine and Bunker on Youtube joins Decoy and me for another blast to the past. This one also has an interesting little online client, Stratego.io, which Decoy and John used at the beginning of our taping to get into the right headspace. It's quite the doozy! 

For those who may be curious, John did have to leave right before our final ranking, which is why he dissipates into the night at the end, but he was with us in spirit, and helped us get Stratego into a nice spot on the board!

Decoy and I felt opposite on this one...sort of. Its an almost perfect information game, and it's almost good? It may very well depend on a lot of things...where you're from, and if your parents had a briefcase when you were young! Come see.

Welcome to our first game in a new genre. Deck-builders haven't exploded like some other game genres from the 90s up to today, however, this game's initialization of the genre was such that not many can compete with it. Special Guest JC joins us again this week. If there's been a game on our show we would recommend and we had to pick one, it would be this one. 

We may never have played a game designed for kids so young with such a light theme that is actually dark...like, dark dark. Dang. This game. Get in here.
