Double Tap

Getting Audio Description Right with IDC

Listen Later

Today it's all about audio description! Steven and Shaun discuss the value of the accommodation that makes it possible for blind people to understand what is going on during a movie or TV show, thanks to a separate voice track that describes the action on screen.
Steven also talks to Eric Wickstrom and Liz Gutman from the International Digital Centre in New York (IDC) to find out about the work they do, why they prize quality and how they have not only encouraged but employed disabled people to be the voice of the audio-described content.
As always, your feedback is welcome. Email [email protected] or call 1-877-803-4567 and leave us a voicemail. You can also find us across social media @DoubleTapOnAir.
