Putting off spiritual growth has limited who wanted to be with me as a partner in life and possibly even ended friendships early before it even got to that point. Personally learning lessons in our lives to help us grow spiritually and be mature in that regard is something that is very beneficial to each one of us, regardless of any other relationship factor. I do it for Him who saved us first and foremost, and for who i want to be in Christ, and then for the (future) significant other. This way it is taking hold with more success for me. If you are doing similarly then hopefully you will be the one she/he has been praying for - for you! They can't wait forever, but might be waiting for us to get our act and life straight. Note: I can't believe i have spent all these years waiting to be better til i found someone, instead of preparing in advance. I'm glad i have another chance to get it right with Him and be a better steward of my time now. I thank HIM for second chances and his loving and tender mercies.
