- Issue with logging in using Google sign-in
- Issue with access to Google Drive/Contacts in the app
- Items in “Shared with Me” disappeared when searching for an invalid keyword
- Restarts after crashes required the user to first “End Task” via Task Manager

- Use index notes to search your media (physical, digital and audio books in this example) that are not in Evernote.
- Clippings (synchronizes your highlights and annotations from Kindle to Evernote)- Example: “How to Search Your Entire Book Collection With This Evernote System” (Make Use Of)- Getting Evernote integrated with your favorite task manager with fellow Evernote Certified Consultant Frank Buck, EdD, author of Get Organized! Time Management for School Leaders, and regular speaker on time management, using Taskclone.
- Local Notebooks are awesome if you want to keep private notes. But, it comes with some risks. And,if you use Local Notebooks, beware of accidentally moving notes between synchronized notebooks and local notebooks.

- The Verge recently published an article, “The Best Note-taking Apps for Class, Work, and Life.” I rant about its flawed comparisons of note-taking software on the market today to fit “class, work and life.”
There are better comparisons of note-taking software out there, these among them:

*The article author noted that the max file upload size was 50MB and that’s not accurate. You can upload files up to the size of the note size limit, which is 25 MB for Evernote Basic, and 200 MB for Evernote Premium accounts.
- Next, Evernote showed up in The New York Times, in an article, “A Unicorn Lost in the Valley, Evernote Blows Up the ‘Fail Fast’ Gospel.”
On the whole, I thought it closed positively about Evernote and its current state.
Ian Small responded in the Evernote discussion forum.
- Continuing on, I’ve seen hints of this for some time, but this is the first time I’ve seen an Evernote Employee explicitly say so publicly. And so, Evernote for Linux sounds like it’s coming soon!
- Finally, Evernote for macOS 7.12 has released.
Note: Version 7.12 and updates going forward will only support macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) or higher (10.14 Mojave, 10.15 Catalina and beyond).

Evernote has provided instructions and a comparison chart for what that means for iX500 owners, all of which I see as great (and a great relief!). Also, note that iX500’s have been discontinued and support end-of-life is coming in the next few years; it’s good to start preparing for that.

- Intermittent Sync Error on Evernote for macOS 7.11 (published in mid-June) - A bug has been reported and engineers are working on a problem with synchronization in the latest public release of Evernote for macOS (7.11). Evernote Employee Nick noted, “This is a known issue that we already logged with engineering, but has been very spotty to reproduce. We found that most users were able to get rid of the problem by quitting and reopening the app, or by logging out and logging back into their Evernote app.”
