Anesthesia may keep you alive during surgery, but what happens after you wake up? In this episode of the Longevity Leaders Podcast, Sandra Bargeron explains how anesthesia can unmask neurological vulnerabilities, increase cognitive decline risk in certain populations, and why preparation and post-care matter more than most people realize.

About the Guest:
Sandra Bargeron, PA-C, CAA, is a double board-certified Physician Assistant and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant with additional board certification as a natural medicine doctor (PhD). After witnessing cognitive decline patterns in patients and experiencing her own son's neurological regression following anesthesia, she began researching the long-term neurological effects of anesthetics.
She is the author of Getting Over Going Under, a research-driven book exploring how anesthesia interacts with neurological vulnerability, detoxification pathways, and terrain-based health factors. She is also developing a targeted product designed to support anesthetic clearance.
