Bradley Davie spends his working life around measurement, and this conversation is what happens when you ask someone like that what the numbers actually mean. With roots in kinesiology, he joined InBody in 2016. Attending 150 events yearly across research, medicine, and longevity, he has a rare vantage point on healthcare's future.
We start with trends. Bradley notes the time-based billing model is breaking, especially in independent pharmacies. Squeezed on margin and filling meds for metabolic patients who aren't improving, they are asking how to generate cash revenue while creating health. He highlights an Oklahoma pharmacist dispensing love via a coaching program—a concept credited to Dr. Kathy Campbell of the Wellness Pharmacy Network. He also flags hospitality as an emerging care delivery trend, connecting to my work on longevity resorts with Horst Schulze.
Then we get technical. Bradley walks through his four-tiered model, explaining phase angle as cellular integrity, extracellular water ratios for metabolic efficiency, and visceral fat as his top metric. He notes that phase angle reference ranges rely on clinical consensus rather than published research. On GLP-1s, he is balanced: they brought needed support, but we must build nutrition and strength training around them. He also explains why early water and glycogen weight loss isn't what people think.
We finish on the human side. He teaches me galumphing—exuberant, free play seen in children—and offers his mantra: the less I do, the more I get. He discusses foot and toe strength mirroring grip strength, anchoring a stable core. His closing argument isn't about tech. Data builds trust, but the goal is to stop selling and start solving. Beyond the data, we are human.
