Getting Ready for Outreachy Contribution Stage
The December 2023 Outreachy internship Cohort unlocked its contribution stage for all applicants that passed the initial application stage.
Outreachy applicants are required to make at least one contribution to an Outreachy project. Only applicants who make a contribution will be eligible to be selected as an intern.
This session will focus on applicants getting answers to their questions from past contributors and interns. , who will be giving applicants tips on navigating the period.

Outreachy provides internships in open source & open science. Outreachy provides internships to people subject to systemic bias and impacted by underrepresentation in the technical industry where they are living.
Outreachy internships are:
šµ Paid - $7,000 USD total internship stipend
š Remote - both interns and mentors work remotely
š° 3 months - internships run from May to August, or December to March
Outreachy has internship projects in both open source and open science. Outreachy internship projects may include programming, research, user experience, documentation, graphical design, data science, marketing, user advocacy, event planning, and more!
