Hubbard rants

A good book to flip through every once in a while. Like a self help book but don't see how this is religious? Scientology bible? Anyways it's a good book to have around and try some different approaches in your life or a good snicker. It may just be a benefit with some of the ideas listed in the book could be of some help to some people. I'd recommend Novels by James Redfield for a better understanding of spiritual enlightenment and another take on what might be going on around us. Go bookworms....go!

The Beginnings of Scientology was Actually Noble Until Hubbard was Subjected to CIA Control

I love reading so much (I read several hours a day, averaging 65-70 books a year) that I was so happy to be able to get this book. I am still unsure if this was published prior to the CIA taking over the Scientology operation. I was prompted to look for such a book after reading the Dane Tops interview with Project Camelot. I would love to be able to read any information about Scientology before it became a CIA operation.

I have owned many copies of Dianetics and was in need of a fresh copy to mark up with my highlighter. I don't think I have enough time to discuss all the things I love about this book. It got me involved in a new way of life and has provided me a partial solution to my temper. This book will help anyone trying to improve themselves by explaining our thought process and the root cause of mental distress. L Ron also ties in new tools related to communication. This is a great first book on the subject of the mind. I can easily say that this book has saved my life and I would recomend it to everyone.

Great book !

This book is so easy to understand ! I read Dianetics and it's not the easiest book to read, it requires a lot of concentration. This book has short chapters, and everything I read just makes so much sense. I think anyone should really read this book. If you're curious about Scientology, this is the book that will give you answers for sure.

This book is a great read; if you're looking for some simple answers to complex questions about life, this is for you. Very well written and the layout of the book (in terms of print and so on) is very professional and user friendly. Would recommend.

The Best way to See if it works is to take ...

The name is quite philosophic. But ITS 100 times easier and workable in daily life than Many other philosophic books I have read. The chapters are short and very direct. The Best way to See if it works is to take an experience you had and analyse it using that specific chapter. Lights start to turn on! Simple and Very powerful like law og gravity. ITS there, No matter if you agree or not. So Better to Know it than be in mystery About fundamentals of life! Definitly recommend.

Where Am I?

Well, I have read many books by L Ron Hubbard and this one left me stunned.

Or rather, it left me wondering if I have ever understood anything at all about life or what it's composed of.

I can only say to anyone who buys this book, be prepared to have all your preconceptions of life get thrown out the window. And, at the same time, realize that, if this is all true, then life is something far beyond what we have ever imagined.

Since reading this book, I've found myself sitting and contemplating my existence, who I am, and what my purpose in life is more than I ever have before. I have to tell you it's an uncomfortable feeling at times.

And I will say after having read the book, it might take some courage to read this and get through it. And some of the terminology is quite new or different, but is defined in the back of the book, so make sure you use that glossary or you might wind up giving up.

Not for the faint of heart, my friends.

Why didn't I read this 10 years ago??

I've heard, read and studied a lot about the mind, how it works,

and why it plagues us with negativity from time to time.

The information in this book made sense of it all.

It's easy to read and boils it down to undeniable terms that anyone can understand and benefit from so doing.

It explains the otherwise unexplainable and I can't believe this information is not common place the author so obviously hits the nail on the head.

Dianetics: The Original Thesis

Wanting to know the history and begining of scientology, I was directed to this audiobook. I found it very intreging and and easy to follow, The paperback book that accompanies it has all of the terminology and definitions. I would recommend it to all.

A Fascinating Portrait of Mind and Body

I found 'Dianetics' to be informative and, in my experience, quite accurate.

This book changed my entire perception of L. Ron Hubbard and his work. My whole life, my knowledge of Mr. Hubbard was fully secondhand -- that is, I knew only the slander and denunciation of the man and his studies. Having never exposed myself to his actual writings, I never knew any better; but, after randomly seeing this book at the local library, I decided to correct my ignorance, and I'm glad I did, for the book was a pleasant surprise. As it were, I found the "Dianetics" doctrine to be not only sound and logical, but, also, a mirror of my own personal experience in the nature of the mind (and, to a certain extent, the nature of reality and the universe at large). Mr. Hubbard employed different terms, and variations in perspective, on the topics in question; but, more or less, his conclusions echoed those I'd reached on my own, based on my own experience, completely independently (as in, not derived from the Dianetics doctrine, since I was totally unmet with it beforehand). Ironically, this book read much like a book I wrote myself, making the same points in slightly different ways and in different terminology; if I disagreed with Mr. Hubbard, it was only on lesser points. Ultimately, I was quite impressed, and somewhat bolstered by seeing my own independently-reached observations repeated by a complete stranger.

Perhaps Mr. Hubbard's other teachings are totally wrong, and, likewise, perhaps the man himself was as despicable as so many critics have made him out to be, worthy of the labels I've seen applied to him and his work my whole life. I don't know, for I haven't read any of Mr. Hubbard's work beyond this one book, nor can I know him personally so that I may evaluate his character. (Likewise, I can't comment on what others have done in the name of Mr.
