Goth and post-Punk legend David J ( @aviddj1919 ) best known as a founding member of essential bands such as  @BauhausOfficial  and Love and Rockets, has had a 50-plus year career as a musician, author, playwright, composer, and activist. Inspired and disgusted by current events in America, he put together an all-star band as David J and The Resistance, with a new charity single "ICE Too Cold to Thaw" via his comrades at No Devotion Records. Additionally, there is an artwork and charity poster component with Shepard Fairey and Tomo77, as well. Keefy sits down with Nicholas Moriarty, vocalist of Nicolas Cage Fighter, to break down the band’s new album I Watched You Burn, out now via Metal Blade Records.

This record is a full narrative concept album, told from the first-person perspective of an immortal serial killer on a dying planet, chronicling the extermination of life on Earth. Nick explains how the story shaped the lyrics, vocal delivery, and the album's overall structure.

The record was mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy), bringing clarity and power to the band’s extreme sound. The project has also gained attention from Nicolas Cage himself, who has publicly endorsed the band, calling them “terrific.”

Don sits down with Kyle Thomas of EXHORDER to talk about the band’s upcoming Unforeseen Circumstances Tour 2026, featuring Luicidal, Ringworm, Phobia, and Slowhole. They recently released a new live performance video for their classic track “The Tale of Unsound Minds.”
