Warning! Part of this episode has a story that is not for the faint of heart.
(Listeners' discretion advised)
First of all, I just want to thank you, our listener, to be here for this milestone: 20 episodes! Wow... It has been a rush! We are so grateful for everyone who has been a part of this journey and has given us support and feedback to improve Taiwanica until now. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!
Ok, to start with this episode, I like to mention the word for superstition in Chinese (迷信) because it says it all: mysterious/lost belief. When you really think about it, that's exactly what a superstition is, a belief that was once common among many people but now not so much or a belief that makes you think "huh? people really believe that?"
Anita and Eric go deep with not only their own point of view on this topic but also stories on how certain superstitions have had an effect on their lives, or so they BELIEVED!
Have you ever thought about this topic and would like to hear more about how Americans and Taiwanese think about this? Well, this is definitely a conversation that will unite groups together in any kind of setting; whether it's at a bar or at the dining room table before supper, let's tune into a topic that all adults can enjoy on Episode 20 of Taiwanica!
