Ghostbusters: Resurrection

The Eternal Night has begun.

Following a devastating attack, the Ghostbusters are at their lowest. They've been betrayed at every turn by agents of an an ancient conspiracy. With no equipment, no plan, and injured (or worse) allies in need, our heroes are forced to run for their lives through a pitch-black, ghost-overrun apocalypse. If they want to survive, nevermind save the world, they're going to have to leave no stone unturned and use every tool at their disposal.

Will the Ghostbusters find a light in the darkness? Or will this go down in history as the night when Halloween was forever?

With the last of Samhain's Druden in the can and the sun on the horizon - hope might be in sight! But an increase in Samhain sightings and an ever-growing pile of unanswered questions say otherwise... Fortunately, Mr. Book has a lead. Hey there Ghostheads! Happy New Year!

It's been a minute, so Doug and Cat are checking in to keep you abreast of our latest happenings in RPG podcasts and paranormal eliminations.

Progress on Ghostbusters: Resurrection continues, and Doug has a new GBRPG tool for Ghost Masters in the works: The Ectonomicon. But also, during the pandemic, Doug ran an experiment on Cat - testing out a new technique in tabletop roleplaying and collaborative storytelling that we call: "Surprise RPGs".

Previously, this work was happening behind closed doors on our Patreon, but now we're taking this first experiment public in a series called K8 Was Here. If you love Ghostbusters: Resurrection, 80s cinema, and Doug's special brand of immersive roleplaying - you won't want to miss out on this all new story to tide you over while we collectively wait to hear the purr of the Central Florida Ghostbusters' neutrona wands again.

Grab your proton packs and PKE meters! Ghostbusters: Resurrection is a cinematic roleplaying podcast set in the present day with the same lore, weirdness, and comedy of the films, games, and comics... But this is no ordinary episode!

We’ve teamed up with Ghostbusters Interdimensional Crossrip, the #1 Ghostbusters news and fandom podcast for a Ghostbusters tabletop adventure. Our GM, Doug Banks, helms an all-new story, staring Crossrip's Troy and Chris as two hapless PCOC employees who don’t call the professionals. This is part 2, and you can find the first part over on Crossrip's feed.

If you’re new here and you enjoy this show - we’ve got three seasons of cinematic Ghostbusters adventures waiting for you AND we’ve got all the resources you need to play your own Ghostbusters tabletop RPG. What's more, you can hire Doug to GM a game for you. Drop him a line at [email protected] for any and all inquiries!

If you've listened to part 1, don't wait another minute! Boot up the cyclotrons - it’s time to get bustin'.

Join us for an impromptu exploration of how we make Ghostbusters: Resurrection AND how to play this classic tabletop RPG.

Hear inquiring Ghostheads ask all their burning questions - especially super-specific, nerdy, nuanced gameplay discussions for aspiring roleplayers. On deck to ease these inquiring minds is showrunner of the series, Game Master (or General Manager) Doug Banks and Cap Blackard (producer and co-author of Season 3).

This is an excerpt from a three and a half hour discussion - which you can hear in full on our Patreon. In this public excerpt, hear us share behind-the-scenes tales and answer critical questions about core mechanics.

The Ghostbusters enter an attraction at Halloween Horror Nights where a number of attendees have disappeared... and now they've disappeared too! As soon as the team sets foot inside, they're immediately separated and lost in darkness. With no way to see or communicate, each team member must face this challenge alone. But in this “haunted house,” the monsters are real and the consequences... are fatal.

The Central Florida Ghostbusters' Halloween has turned from the busiest night of the year to a total clusterbust! They dove into haunted springs, went on a savage safari, took the fight to the skies, and endured a lethal case of the creepy crawlies... but this graveyard shift from hell is far from over. With two Druden in tow, the team heads back to the firehouse for a much-needed pit stop at the containment unit.

But once they arrive... they find a familiar face waiting for them. It’s time to find out once and for all, who is a friend and who is a foe.

Featuring a special appearance by Aly Grauer. Check out her amazing podcast, Warda.

There's an otherworldly entity on the loose at NASA! But this is no E.T. - this monstrosity is extra-dimensional! (And majorly lacking in the cuteness department.)

When NASA engineers, the US Army, and the Air Force can't stop one of the largest buildings in the world from becoming a towering inferno of spectral terror, there’s only one group that can help. Tonight, the Ghostbusters are making a house call to the Vehicle Assembly Building.

On the Space Coast... you’ll hear them scream.
