  • Ep 148 - Tonya & Joey Madia | Into the Outer Realms
We thought it fitting to describe this episode after Tonya and Joey's podcast, "Into the Outer Realms" because that's exactly where we went during our great conversation with these veteran paranormal investigators, authors, and explorers. We went from ghosts, past life regression to their moment of missing time, and aliens in Point Pleasant, West Virginia, home of the legendary 1966 Mothman sightings. This show has everything!
Tonya and Joey are the authors of "Watch Out for the Hallway" and their latest, "Roommates from Beyond: How to Live in a Haunted Home."

  • Ep 147 - Pallbearer
Pallbearer’s music is unique with a signature sound that stands out in the crowded arena of metal and rock music. Members Brett, Joseph, Devin, and Mark join us to talk about their music and latest album, "Forgotten Days", which they joked was “aptly named” as the album dropped October 23, 2020, right in the middle of a global pandemic. We talk to the guys about what they’ve been doing during this bizarre time for musicians and of course share some great stories and have some good discussion along the way.
Bassist Joseph D. Rowland also recently released music from his side synth project Hosianna Mantra which has been getting excellent reviews. If you are a fan of synth and ambient you need to check this album out. LInks below.

    Band Bio
Pallbearer (Little Rock, Arkansas) was formed by Brett Campbell and Joseph D. Rowland in 2008. Devin Holt joined as a second guitarist and the band released their first demo in 2010 and were signed by Profound Lore Records in 2011. Their first full-length album "Sorrow and Extinction" came out in 2012 to rave reviews. Current drummer Mark Lierly joined shortly after the first album and in 2014, the band dropped their second full-length, "Foundations of Burden", which also debuted to stellar reviews and topped lists.
"Heartless" was released in 2016, which debuted at #187 on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 chart and #42 on the current albums list and saw the band going in a more progressive rock direction. Their fourth album, "Forgotten Days" was released in October 2020 on Nuclear Blast. When the band was featured in "The New York Times Magazine" in 2017, critic David Rees stated Pallbearer was “one of the most resonant emotional campaigns in American rock music.” Awesome.

  • Ep 146 - Alessandro Keegan | Mediumistic Art
We discuss the mysterious concept of Mediumistic Art with professor and art historian Alessandro Keegan. Artists such as William Blake, Hilma af Klint, Georgianna Houghton, Austin Osman Spare, and many others felt they connected with something outside of themselves and couldn't fully take credit for what they created. Do other bits of intelligence influence us? Does inspiration come from a collective, global consciousness that starts a creative movement? Where do these ideas come from if not from within? We have an excellent conversation with Alessandro and also explore his own amazing, otherworldly art and influences.

  • Ep 145 - Ezekiel Kincaid | Pastor to Horror Writer
Kzekial Kincaid, Christian pastor turned horror writer, joins us to talk about why Christianity and the horror genre are the perfect fit and why he decided to make the shift he did. Horror deals with the battle between good and evil, sin, fear, and redemption, all parts of the human condition a pastor like Ezekial had to deal with on a daily basis. We talk about his current and future books, philosophy, and a ghostly vision that came to him in a dream and was possibly the “once living” spirit of one of his characters. Ezekial is the author of the horror-comedy Johnny Walker Ranger Demon Slayer (2020) inspired by his love of Bruce Campbell. He has also contributed to horror anthologies and writes for the websites Horrorbound and Puzzelbox Horror.
    Bio –
Ezekiel Kincaid brings a unique and original touch to the horror genre. Why? Well, there are lots of reasons. First, he was a pastor for twenty years, so he knows a thing or three about the demonic, death, and dealing with people in crappy situations. Second, the only other language he is fluent in is sarcasm. This means he has a flair for horror-comedy. Third, he also has a serious intellectual side, seeing that he has three theological degrees. He can write deep and thought-provoking horror that will make you question everything and poo your pants at the same time. Finally, Zeke was a child of the ’80s and can do throwback better than you can. He is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but currently lives in Blowing Rock, North Carolina.

  • Ep 144 - Mark Onspaugh | Yule Time Creatures and Original Stories
Our favorite storyteller Mark Onspaugh shares the eerie Yule Time lore that comes out of Iceland which can be terrifying and hilarious at the same time. If you have listened to our previous episodes with Mark, you know he doesn’t leave the show without sharing his amazing fiction with us. Mark reads two original stories: “Jack Frost” from his book "Christmas Ghost Stories: A Collection of Winter Tales" and a new one he wrote for the show, “Christmas Spirit.” If you want to listen to the stories on their own, we have them available for play on our website at www.ghostlytalk.com along with previous episodes and stories with Mark Onspaugh. Mark's books are all available at Amazon.
Mark Onspaugh is a native Californian who grew up on a steady diet of horror, science fiction, and DC Comics. He’s a proud member of the Horror Writers Association and the International Thriller Writers association. In addition to the produced film Kill Katie Malone, he has several other screenplays in various stages of development and was also one of the writers of the cult favorite Flight of the Living Dead. He polished his comedy writing (and improv skills) at the Groundlings Theater in L.A., where he studied under Lisa Kudrow (“Friends”), Michael McDonald (“Mad TV”), and Heather Morgan (“The Dana Carvey Show”).
Earlier in his career, Onspaugh studied Special Effects Makeup in college and continued to pursue this passion under the tutelage of premier makeup artist Thomas R. Burman (“Invasion of the Body Snatchers”,” Cat People”, “Scrooged”) with additional lectures by such notables, among others as Oscar-winning makeup artist Rick Baker (“American Werewolf in London”, “Men in Black”, “Planet of the Apes”).
