Just after midnight on January 21st, 1906 the S. S. Valencia met the beginning of her end.
In what is still known as the worst maritime disaster in the Graveyard of the Pacific off the coast of Vancouver Island, over a hundred people lost their lives. No women or children survived and only a handful of men survived.
