Sega’s Genesis Console was a part of one of the earliest and well known Console Wars. It was one of the most popular consoles of the 1990’s, but, Sega could never recreate it’s magic. Genesis had some incredible Original Titles, but the timing of the consoles release, lead to many Third Party Titles being better ports on the Super Nintendo. In this episode, Push Start discusses the Genesis, it’s best titles, and why we believe the Sega hurts the legacy of the Genesis to this day.

The Super Nintendo Entertainment System was one of the better consoles in it’s hey-day. Incredible graphics, excellent sound, great library. Most crossover titles between the Sega Genesis and SNES played, looked and sounded better on the Super Nintendo.

Making his first guest appearance on the show is Ian Paulsen, a friend of C-Ham’s, who gives an alternative view to our gaming perspective from someone born way after the final game was released in North America. It’s a fun perspective and good listen to see how the new generation of gamers views what us 90’s children love and enjoy.

Video Games haven’t really hit well on the big screen. Franchises with tons of lore, environments and story haven’t panned out in Live Action at all, and there are a number of reasons why.
