We all desire to be used in significant ways for God's Kingdom. We want our lives to have influence and our prayers to have impact. However, for God to change the world through us, He has to make some changes within us. Gideon is someone who experienced this firsthand. God called Gideon to do something great, to lead Israel out of the Midianites' oppression, but Gideon disqualified himself because of fear and faithlessness. For God to use Gideon to save Israel, God had to bring about a change in his life, and this change would not happen easily. Thankfully, God's patience, persistence, and power helped Gideon to become a person who experienced transformation through various trials, which led him to become a person who trusted God wholeheartedly.
