**TRIGGER WARNING: SUICIDE**This week we are joined by Chris MacRae. Chris shares the story of his mother, Sara Lilian MacRae, and her long battle with depression, mental illness, and psychosis. She worked as a doctor in A&E and as a psychiatrist in London while also bringing up Chris on her own. They eventually moved up to Edinburgh where she was in and out of hospital with mental health problems. During one of Chris’ visits to his mother, her condition had worsened and she was threatening to take her own life with a scarf. Chris warned a nurse and they assured him that they would remove it. Less than an hour later, Sara took her own life with the scarf left in her room. The NHS failed Sara and we are here to bring her justice. If you or anyone you know needs help please seek advice from a loved one, or a doctor or contact a helpline. I promise you, you are not alone.

Today we are joined by Aarti Mukhedkar, an international student of Anthropology from Bangalore, India. In October 2020 Aarti was r*ped in Edinburgh Universities' student accommodation, from there the University discouraged her to report it to the police and decided to investigate the matter in-house. Aarti’s r*pist roams free on campus due to the lack of action of the University and the poor sexual violence redressal system. Aarti is one of the many survivors at the University.
