As we conclude this month and this season of waiting on God, we are encouraged to press on in our quest to encounter the Lord.

This message was preached at the May 2022 edition of the Things of The Spirit Service. We are shown what it means to have a divine encounter and how to be in a position to receive encounters.

Through the encounter Daniel received, we see how God is able to give skills and understanding beyond human abilities.

Elijah received an encounter when he accepted the call on his life and was persistent in serving and following Elisha.

We see how Ezekiel received a call from God through an encounter. Through this encounter, we are able to understand the sovereignty and leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Peter received an encounter which gave him deliverance from death.

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit gives the believer peace, joy and boldness. We can walk in the power of the Holy Spirit through desire and staying in the word of God.

Saul encountered the Lord on his way to Damascus and had a radical life change. We see how the man who was once a persecutor of the church became a preacher of the word of God.

On the day of His resurrection, the disciples encountered Jesus in a new dimension. We see what this encounter means to us in relation to understanding the word of God.

The disciples had an awesome encounter with the Lord when they were alone with Him on the mountain. We need to be disciples who are always ready to spend quality time with the Lord in order to experience divine encounters.
