Worship is serious business. We were created with a built in desire and ability to worship. But who and what we worship is where things can get sticky. Do we place our focus in worship on God, the one who created us to worship? Or do we worship other people or things?

Worship does come with some rules, do's and don'ts, and even some warnings. What does the Bible say about these warnings? What does this mean for our lives? Let's explore what the Bible says about worship warnings.

You can tell by Dan's vocal fry that he wasn't feeling too well. It might have been dehydration, but Dan wonders if other frustrations might actually be the root cause. As followers of Jesus, denying ourselves is one of the most important characteristics to growing in our faith. It's in that denial that we find something greater, something that is bigger than ourselves. It is in this denial of ourselves that we truly find Christ. In our daily denial, we find true transformation.

We celebrate confirmation this week. What is confirmation? Confirmation is a time in the church when young people step up and take ownership of their faith in Christ. They learn how they add value to the kingdom of God, and take the next steps in their walk with Jesus. This weekend we celebrate this step of faith from our students!

John 10:10 says "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." We were created to live life to the fullest. The thief wants to steal and destroy that life, but Jesus had other plans. Jesus' resurrection ensures with absolute certainty that we will have life.

Through Jesus, we know that death is not the end. Death is not the final word. Jesus is the living Word and he has the final word. His final word is the opposite of death. This word is Life. This is why we celebrate. Who is Jesus? Jesus is Life! Learn more about Ginghamsburg at ginghamsburg.org.

What is a savior? Is it the superhero rescuing a kitten from a tree? Or is it more than that? Paul writes in Romans that "all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory" (Romans 3:23) and that "wages of sin is death..." 

How do we find hope? Paul continues by saying "but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). The need for a savior is real. The need for hope is real. Jesus is also real. We have hope for tomorrow and for eternity because of Jesus Christ. Who is Jesus? Jesus is savior.
