Isira is an awakened spiritual teacher of Australian Indigenous heritage, bringing the idea of holistic awakening to people around the world. Awakening people not only to themselves but to a remembering of sacred living in connection with country.
Touched with more than a smidgen of confusion as a child, asking herself - " did I take a wrong turning?" she questioned her own sanity more than once as no one around her saw the world as she did. She was constantly in a space of questioning;
what was this dissonance
disjointed,
misplaced
odd one out feelings she had as a child.
Learning how intensely connected she was in Spirit became a both a blessing and a curse.
TRAUMA ALERT: Leaving home at 15, homeless and taken in by strangers, brought to life a recurring dream / nightmare where her life was left hanging by a divine thread.
Isira is a Woman for all times, most especially these times. There is wisdom upon wisdom upon wisdom in the sharing of Isira's awakenings entwined with heart cracking open truths! Describing life as a multi layered kaleidoscope, Isira speaks of an overlap of 2 piercing paradigms whereby suffering is directly linked to awakening. At some point we seek a way out of the suffering, look for ways to awaken.
We felt DEEPLY humbled and honoured to sit with Isira in every moment of this episode. With a sense of sitting with an Ascended Master - one that Isira was quick to deflect and point out her human be-ing - ness. With great clarity, calling the BS of seeking to be enlightened, transcended. Her spiritual connection to country and this embodiment we are all here to experience, calls us to celebrate and revel in our humanness, the joy of living life authentically, able to embrace fully being the individual - sensual and experience to bliss of receiving and giving.
Known in indigenous culture as Aunty Jinta Mirren Ngingali and is an elder of Mirning, Adhnyahmathana heritage with kin ties to Pitjantjajara and Yankunytjatjara country, and has mixed heritage of Scottish, Welsh and Spanish background.
Isira has delivered programs and talks internationally for more than 30 years. She is a powerful advocate for conscious change and is highly engaged in the issues of our times.
Ordained by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Isira integrates the wisdom teachings from Eastern spiritual traditions, her Australian indigenous heritage, and the profound transformative experiences of her own life.
