What we give to another, we actually give to ourselves. We are told that, “To give is how to recognize you have received.” It is our proof to ourselves of our own abundance. For this same reason, whatever we withhold from another, we are withholding from ourselves. We are told that only what we are not giving can be lacking in any situation. “To give and to receive are one in truth.” This does not make us less generous. It removes our hidden fear of giving.
