Rules are like a fence. They create clear boundaries that we should not cross, but they can also be restrictive and confining. Just like a fence keeps us from wandering too far off the path, rules keep us from straying too far from what is deemed acceptable by society or an authority. However, like a fence, rules can also keep us from exploring new areas and experiences. So, according to that definition, does the bible require tithing as a rule?
