Meet Tanya

Tanya Cole-Lesnick has been a psychotherapist (licensed clinical social worker) and coach since 1995. She received her master’s degree in social work from New York University after group therapy changed her life. She has extensive experience in outpatient hospital mental health, private practice, and wellness center settings. Meet  Sue

Susan M. Omilian is an attorney, author and motivational speaker who has advocated for over forty years to end violence against women. She has worked as a sexual assault victim advocate, represented domestic violence victims in divorce proceedings and litigated sex discrimination cases. With the death of her nineteen-year-old niece Maggie killed by her ex-boyfriend in 1999, Susan’s work became more immediate and personal. She vowed to help women move on after abuse as Maggie could not.

As originator and facilitator of My Avenging Angel WorkshopsTM based on the idea that “living well is the best revenge,” Susan has helped hundreds of women over the last twenty years take the journey from victim to survivor to thriver over the last twenty years. The motivational model she has developed is included in her trilogy of Thriver Zone non-fiction books, and her Best Revenge series of novels is inspired by the actual events of her niece’s story. 

A nationally recognized expert on recovery after violence, abuse and trauma, Susan has presented her work at national and international conferences and for audiences of survivors, offenders and service providers in a variety of settings, including male and female prisons, at schools and on college campuses, for Indian tribes, military victim advocates and medical and mental health professionals. She also conducted psycho-educational groups for male domestic violence offenders for fifteen years.
