Today Vaneeta Kaur joins us from across the pond to chat about her own journey to first discovering her artistic gifts as a way to cope with a mental illness, to now being a published author of a fabulous fiction novel. Vaneeta has such a beautifully authentic story as she wrote two books in her teenage years, she predominantly writes to males or utilizes male characters, and she initially emerged from writing film scripts to fictional characters. Plus to top it off, writing and storytelling are purely natural gifts of hers that she divinely discovered as a child.
In our conversation we dive into her recently republished work, Broken Branches, and the crucial importance of carrying an awareness of our own emotional wellness and mental health. Broken Branches is not your average fiction novel as the book has several underlying self-help type messages displayed through the character’s experiences. We go on to discuss the emotional bondage and relations that are able to be found with characters in books that often play into our own empathy and compassion. Vaneeta goes on to discuss her journey to getting published and the vulnerability that comes with putting yourself out there publicly.
