Over the course of History the cross has been idolized and despised, gold plated and burned, worn and trashed. History has done everything to it except ignore it. The cross of Jesus Christ demands a response. What happens when we encounter the cross of Jesus Christ? What really happened on the cross? When we meet the physical needs of those around us it often opens the door for the spiritual needs to be met as well. We want to provide not just clean water for the soul but for the body as well.

Water is something that we take for granted on this side of the planet, yet the world water crisis affects close to 1 Billion people globally. The problem is so dire that every 19 seconds a mother will lose her baby due to a water borne illness. So what does Jesus have to say about all of this? The Change that we experience all around us is meant to lead to change within us and change through us. It’s not the end when WE are changed but rather the beginning. Our unchanging God is always leading us to Change! He does not want us to remain the same, but to change and to grow in Him. The changes that we experience in life, that happen to us, should always lead to change within us.Are you changing as you walk with Christ?

From the time God formed this world we have been experiencing change! Night to day, Summer to Fall, young to old and the list goes on and on. Although we serve an unchanging God, we live in an ever changing world. What is God saying to us within the whirlwind of change that happens not only around us but to us.
