“We call ‘em Weebs” - Alex CG
After our conversation about Ghost of Tsushima late last year we weren’t quite done thinking about the modern samurai myth. Alex CG (they/them) reached out to Oleg Benesch to chat a little more about how the interpretation could be inaccurate and potentially forward some unintended perspectives.
(Quick note: CG makes a comment that the Japanese communist party is the biggest in the world, it is actually just One Of the biggest. Also, there's a comment about Japan not having a national lockdown, which was true at the time of recording).
