Just as we expect children to mature from infancy to adulthood, Paul expected the church to mature in wisdom through the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 3:1-23

In his gospel, John writes so that people will believe and have eternal life through Jesus. But in 1 John he writes to assure those who believe, so that they will KNOW they have eternal life and continue to believe in the name of Jesus. 1 John 3:1-10.

In a world that depreciates the value of wisdom, the Scriptures insist on its necessity and centrality. Whereas knowledge refers the accumulation of information and facts, wisdom deals with the art of living right. It is better than rubies and nothing that can be desired can compare to wisdom. 1 Corinthians 2:6-16
