It is time for a busy Friday edition of Glenn Clark Radio as the GCR gang gets you ready for the weekend. The great Stan The Fan Charles will be in studio hanging out with Glenn and Griffin as we look back at the week that was for the Orioles and get you set for another AL East showdown this weekend with the Rays in town, and maybe we’ll dive into some NBA Playoffs and French Open as well. At 10:20am, we will get things started when we check in with Towson alum and radio voice of the Tampa Bay Rays, our friend Andy Freed, as he helps us preview this weekend’s set. Later on at 11:20am, we’ll be joined by Ben Verlander from the Flippin Bats Podcast, as well as Fox Sports, as we talk some O’s after he had a nice conversation with Gunnar Henderson this week on his pod. At 11:40am, we be joined in studio by our friends Guilford Hall Brewery. At Noon, we will catch up with another Tampa-Towson connection when former Towson Tiger, now Rays INF/OF, Richie Palacios stops by to check in and we’ll see how his 2024 season is going. It is a Thursday edition of Glenn Clark Radio, plenty to do as Glenn and Griffin look back at the Orioles win over the Red Sox last night to take the series from the Sox thanks to the heroics of Gunnar Henderson and one of Corbin Burnes’ best starts as an Oriole so far. We will kick things off by checking in with Orioles starting pitcher Cole Irvin as we talk to Cole all about his 2024 in Birdland and most importantly his BARCS event that he has going on this afternoon starting at 3:30pm and he’ll tell you how you can show your support and have a chance to meet him today! We’ll switch gears at 10:45am when we chat with Jeffri Chadiha from NFL.com as we talk some Ravens and why he believes they have one of the best chances of knocking off the Kansas City Chiefs. At 11am, we will chat with The Otter, Gregg Olson, after he did color commentary for the Orioles-Red Sox series the last couple days, we’ll see how he’s doing, get more of his thoughts on the birds and much more. Then at 11:20am, we go down to Bowie for our weekly trip to the farm as we check in with Baysox pitcher Seth Johnson and see how he’s been doing since he joined the Orioles organization in 2022 in the Trey Mancini deal. Plus, if time permits, Fighting Words with Griffin, and we’ll meet new GCR intern, Cam!

We’ll look back at the Orioles very disappointing loss to the Red Sox last night, we’ll go over the latest on the Ravens as OTAs continue, plus a little NBA playoffs. At 10:35am, we’ll catch up with our good friend, the great Ross Grimsley as he helps us delve deeper into the birds, their bullpen struggles, the strength of this lineup and much more. At 11:20am, our buddy Matt Valdez from Sports Junkies on the Monumental Sports Network and 106.7 The Fan in Washington DC will join us as we play some  Would You Rather Wednesday. Then at 11:45am, we’ll check in with Barry Svrluga from the Washington Post, who recently wrote about the birds, as we talk some O’s, their bullpen, their lineup and more. And at 11:30, we'll celebrate the life of the iconic Bill Walton with his friend/former Terps legend Len Elmore.

It finally happened. The Orioles were swept in a regular season series. Olympus has fallen. We really have no choice but to blame Grant, who is in for Griffin again today and we have to be honest, bad things have happened since he showed back up. We'll talk about it but also, Drew Forrester (DrewsMorningDish.com) joins us in studio in the 10am hour and will probably want to yammer about the PGA Championship. At 11am, we make our weekly trip to Bowie to chat with pitching prospect Kyle Brnovich. At 11:15, we catch up with our friend Gavin Sheets (Gilman) before the Orioles open their series with the White Sox. We'll go through This Week In (The Rest Of) Baseball, then we'll wrap the show by chatting with Maryland SSDM Nick Redd before they face Virginia in the NCAA semifinals Saturday.
