Dr. John Streukens has spent over 3 decades providing treatment services to individuals, couples, and groups with Psychological & Substance Use Disorders. He has come to appreciate that every individual gets to make their choices; some gain recovery & some don’t. Paramount to the process is to be respectful, non-judgmental, and allow the individual to decide their recovery path based upon the best recommendations and resources available. His ability for compassionate understanding and directive dialogue comes from years of experience.
John is also an expert in clinical psychodiagnostic assessment. He has conducted well over 5000 assessments in this area and continues to enjoy this work. Beyond this, Dr. Streukens is a contract instructor at two universities and provides instruction in Psychopathology, Life Span Development, Personality, Theory of Counseling, and Intro to Psychology. He is also engaged in providing clinical consulting services with First Responder organizations.

PapaBear Alaska (Ron Pratt)  joins us again to give us an update on his exciting life.

Known for his Youth Camps that he runs in Alaska and the Philippines… Some may remember him by his trademark beard. A resident of Alaska for over 26 years Ron has made an impressive mark on this world. From reaching kids that battle depression and feelings of low self worth … I am not sure how we can measure the thousands of lives he has saved.

With an amazing testimony we hope you enjoy this episode and we discuss suicide prevention, bear chasing, moose meat and public speaking.

Bio:

Pastor Ron Pratt is in his 4th decade of ministering to young people. His unique intensity and passion for the lost are displayed in their commitment as well as the application of their ministry to others. Discipleship is much more than a buzzword to him, it is the foundation of his focus, purpose, and destiny.
