Gordon Mac MBE joins the Global Club & Dance Hall Of Fame to tell the story of a remarkable life in music — from falling in love with radio and DJing as a teenager to co-founding Kiss FM in 1985, when it was a South London pirate station championing underground music. He recalls the extraordinary rise of Kiss, taking the station from pirate radio to becoming a legal 24-hour dance station, the DJs and the explosion of house, soul, reggae, hip-hop and dance music that transformed British club culture.

Gordon also reveals why he returned to radio years after leaving Kiss - launching Mi-Soul Radio after realising there was a generation of Kiss listeners who had grown up but still wanted the music they loved. He explains how he tracked down many of the DJs who had been pushed out of mainstream radio and brought them together again.His philosophy has remained the same: radio should give great DJs a platform.

As Gordon puts it, “I didn't create these DJs I just gave them a platform.”

He also talks about his deep connection with Ibiza, from his first visit in the 1980s and early Kiss Ibiza parties to three different chapters on the island, his love of its music and escapism, and the people and places that have stayed with him.

Barbara Tucker "The Queen Of House", is a legendary vocalist, songwriter and performer, widely regarded as one of the house music's defining voices. A major force in house music for more than four decades, she's known for timeless club anthems including 'Beautiful People,' 'I Get Lifted,' 'Stop Playing With My Mind', 'Most Precious Love' and of course Hardrive 'Deep Inside'. Barbara held her first Ibiza residency in 2001 and has performed across the world and collaborated with dance music icons including David Guetta, Louie Vega, Todd Terry, Danny Tenaglia and Moby. Beyond the studio and stage, she is also a mentor, author, label owner and passionate advocate for the global house music community.

Barbara joined us in Manchester in July after her performance at Hacienda Classical for a wide-ranging conversation covering her unexpected journey into music, the creation of house classics including Beautiful People, the New York club scene and promoting the legendary Underground Network plus her 25-year love affair with Ibiza and her mission to mentor the next generation of artists.

Ministry of Sound celebrates its 35th anniversary as one of the world's most influential club brands and Lohan Presencer and Caitlin McAllister joined Alan and Clara to reflect on the club's journey from a disused bus garage inspired by New York's Paradise Garage to becoming a global dance music institution.

They discuss the founders' obsession with creating the ultimate sound system, the rise of the legendary Ministry of Sound compilation albums, and how the club helped launch countless DJs, producers and record labels. Lohan also reveals how Ministry developed 21 UK No.1 singles, signed artists including Example, DJ Fresh, Wretch 32 and London Grammar, and built one of dance music's most successful record businesses.

The conversation explores the challenges facing modern club culture, from rising costs and property development to nurturing new talent and protecting London's nightlife. They also explain why, despite today's festival-sized productions, Ministry's intimate dancefloor remains one of the world's favourite clubs for both DJs and clubbers.

Ultra Naté joined us in Manchester at Hacienda Classical to share her incredible journey from Baltimore's late 80s club scene to becoming one of dance music's most iconic songwriters and voices.

She reflects on writing her first songs with The Basement Boys, recording two major-label albums and reconnecting with her underground club roots with the success of ‘Free’ and the subsequent album Situation: Critical on New York's legendary Strictly Rhythm label. Ultra also talks running her own club night Deep Sugar Rooftop Jam in Baltimore and the honour of being named the Alice and Franklin Cooley Composer in Residence at the Baltimore Museum of Art. Aaron Ross is a music industry executive and founder of Infinite Future Management, with more than 25 years’ experience across A&R, radio, artist development and management. He began his career at Virgin Records during the late 1990s, working within the label’s dance division VC Recordings at a time when artists including Massive Attack, The Chemical Brothers and Daft Punk were reshaping electronic music culture. He later held senior promotion and A&R roles with Ministry of Sound, Defected Records and the relaunched Strictly Rhythm.

In 2012, Ross founded ⁠Infinite Future Management⁠, transitioning into artist management and helping guide the global breakthrough of Jonas Blue. Since then, he has developed a respected international roster spanning electronic and alternative music including TCTS, Chaney, Audio Bullys and Melon Bomb whilst working along the way with Roger Sanchez, Sandy Rivera and Kenny 'Dope' Gonzales.
