Learn about Saima Munir, a teacher from Pakistan. She teaches at Islamabad Model School for Girls (1-10) Humak, for grades 8th to 10th. She is passionate about supporting her students both from the city and rural areas. She has worked on projects with UNESCO in capacity building. Like many people in Pakistan, English was not Saima’s first language but her third one, after learning Pashto and Urdu. Some of her students parent are not literate, so she must often must adjust how she teaches each student. Some of her classes can have up to 50 students.
