Global Frequencies - Season 2: Episode 1 - Multiculturalism Month 2022 - MUSIC NL
Welcome to Season 2 of our Global Frequencies Podcast! In 2020 the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador announced that multiculturalism would be celebrated in the province throughout the month of March. To contribute to this celebration, we begin this season of Global Frequencies with a special series to honour Multiculturalism Month 2022. Our first episode in this series highlighting our community partners who are promoting multiculturalism in the province features Mariana Castro from MusicNL and Andrew Kagumba, a MusicNL member.
- Mariana Castro spoke with us about Music NL's Instrumental Connections program which connects newcomer musicians with industry professionals in NL.
- Andrew Kagumba, a musician who performs Ugandan traditional music, relays his experiences as a newcomer musician to the province and the benefits of the Instrumental Connections program.
